Quisper brings together 7 partners from across Europe, including SMEs, universities, and corporations. The project is coordinated by the Quadram Institute Bioscience (QIB, UK).
The partners are:
PepsiCo (UK) will co-lead the dissemination plan for Quisper. It will also provide important industry contacts to assist in the mapping of stakeholders and facilitate dissemination in industry only fora.
Technische Universität München (DE)
TUM was a member of the QuaLiFY project is tasked with the establishment of an external Scientific Advisory Board for Quisper with the support of Uor and QiB. The Scientific Advisory Board will consist of a range of renowned scientific experts and will play a pivotal role in providing the validation of the Quisper platform content. Quality standards will form the backbone of the validation process, which will be developed with the support of TUM. In cooperation with UoR, TUM will also contribute to the development and validation of the EU-based Diet Quality Score (DQS) and the personalized nutrition app (e-Nutri).
University of Reading (UK)
The University of Reading (UoR) is leading the development of a mobile web app (called eNutri) that delivers automated personalised dietary advice. The app will integrate a new Diet Quality Score and incorporate a food acceptability model, in order that food-based nutrition recommendations are tailoured to a healthier diet that is acceptable to the individual consumer. UoR is leading consumer engagement activities as part of the app development, and contributing to the refinement of the Quisper platform and business and governance models. UoR brings expertise in human nutrition, digital technologies and statistical modelling.
Quadram Institute Bioscience (UK)
QIB was a member of the QuaLiFY project and will be the Activity Leader. QIB will support other academic partners (TUM & UoR) in the creation
of the independent scientific advisory board, supply data and knowledge rules, and set up the scientific advisory principles that will govern the
platform. It will also lead the business creation task, ensuring the legal entity is established and that appropriate business models are employed.
The technical development of the QSP will also be overseen by QIB, with the digital platform structure being further developed by The Hyve.
shiftN will further develop the business/governance models.
The Hyve (NL)
The Hyve was a member of the QuaLiFY EU FP7 project which delivered a pre-beta version of the Quisper Service Platform (QSP). The Hyve will update, relaunch, extend and improve QSP. The Hyve will lead requirements gathering as input for the QSP development and will deliver documentation and guidelines to be used by service providers and platform clients. The Hyve will provide technical and functional support for the pilot users of the platform and will lead QSP pilot testing.
EuroFIR AISBL (BE)
EuroFIR has two roles in EITFood Quisper: (1) providing data (e.g. food composition) and knowledge rules (dietary reference intakes) and (2) with PepsiCo International, delivering dissemination and stakeholder engagement such as leaflets, social media posts, infographics. EuroFIR hosts and manages the project website (formerly QuaLiFY) and the Quisper website and is responsible for uploading new content.
